Reading over that post from last night with a cup of coffee this morning, I should make it clear that we DID finally successfully meet up with our friends Harriet and Janet. We walked around near their hotel, which is located right in these old Chinese hutongs, which are old alleyways that are teeming with people and shops and are so adorable. We then got to see their hotel, which is built out of a little 300 year old house, complete with an enclosed courtyard. I couln’t get any good pics as it was too dark but you can lookup up the hotel: Courtyard 7 in Beijing. In this city of 20 million people, here we all are below. And I’m posting the one poor pic of the courtyard just to give you some sense. I notice that Ron’s shoes glow in the dark…who knew?!
