We’ve just arrived in Kyoto so I have little to share yet. I offer this instead – a random assortment of pictures that caught my eye.
One more shot of beautiful Takayama from their Red Bridge:

Helpful signage:

There are almost no garbage cans in Japan. Shizu says it’s a response to the Sarin gas attacks a ways back – a safety measure – but boy is it a pain. This one below was from a bathroom and I hope they didn’t mean the trash from the stall as well.

Japan is obsessed with KitKats. Here’s an entire wall of various flavors – plum wine, wasabi and more.

Here’s a toilet I just didn’t understand. The doors on the right are all lovely private stalls in a womens’ bathroom. So what are those two items that are sitting there out in the public area?

And here’s a few random shots from the bus as we drive around – inserted mostly to give you an idea of how green Japan is:

Lovely photos, lovely country! Loved the signage and found the toilets in women’s room um…”interesting”! What?? No Food Fotos?? Did you not eat this day??😉
